Sheryl Crow – Alarm Clock

Sheryl Crow told us all in 2019 that 'Threads' was her final album. At the time, she expressed that albums were a dying art form. Well, she's just released another and we are very happy she did. 'Evolution' came out on March 29th. The trick is she doesn't refer to it as an album. According to Crow, it's a playlist that began with a discussion about A.I. and the possibility that an artist's voice can be used by a program to write a song without any involvement or approval by the artist. In a philosophical sense, 'Alarm Clock' is about balancing life and priorities and how those are constantly changing. On the surface, it's about the daily chaos of life and how it begins each morning with our nightstand companion rattling us awake.
