Alice Merton – Don’t Leave Me Alone With My Thoughts

Alice Merton's EP was released in April. It reflects stories she's collected from this past year of transition. About a year ago, she moved from Germany to London. It's why the EP is called "Heron." Upon arriving in Germany, she saw Herons grazing in the middle of the city, in Barbican. She recognized the parallel with her own arrival. A beautiful, graceful bird, in the middle of a crowded, chaotic urban city. She then read that herons symbolize the spirit of transformation an adaptation in Celtic mythology. The entire EP is an inner transformation and realization of what she really wants out of life and which things are important to her.
